Holle – a traditional Goan Sweet

 5 March 2022 our  Group visited  to Benaulim to Mrs. Lawrence D' silva place who is been known on Instagram as  @thatgoanlady ,a very kind , loving women, who thaught us to make the Goan Holle , Holle are cones made with jackfruit leaves, rice paste applied to them and then stuffed with coconut jaggery filling known as chunn. These rice cones are then steamed. Holle are prepared during special occasions, festivals and on certain days like 24th June(Sao Jao),1st August, 15th august(Assumption of Our Lady). We really had a good time as  we went there after the beach cleaning drive on Benaulim beach ,had to firstly  search  and reach her place ,and then we shared the work among all of us , made fun of eachother as we couldn't prepare the holle cone as it should be but after some trial it worked out good it was a great experience for each one of us.
